High Tea Central Coast
I have been on a quest to find the best High Tea Central Coast venue. High Tea is something I enjoy doing. Trying tidbits of different offerings at a leisurely pace is far more enticing than having to choose just one item from a menu.

High Tea Central Coast has a new contender, Binky High Tea House. This purpose-built space has cuteness built into every corner. It has been designed so that whatever event you are hosting the High Tea for you will have Instagram-worthy photos and a memorable day.

Whilst my daughter and I had a “mummy-daughter day” there was a large baby shower table and another family table. Plus a few couples. So it seems everyone has a different reason for enjoying a High Tea.
Group On High Tea or Scoop On High Tea
Initially, I googled Central Coast High Tea and got a Scoop On Voucher for Binky. I had been wanting to try that venue so I purchased through Scoop-on. The deal was a 90-minute High Tea + Sparkling Wine for one adult $39, I purchased two tickets.
This was a huge saving as when I arrived at the venue I found that the regular price of the High Tea with Sparkling Wine was $62 each.

When we arrived I upgraded my daughter’s sparkling wine for a cocktail. She chose the Cotton on Fleur. This was a vodka, berry, and lime cocktail with floating watermelon fairy floss. She loved her boujie cocktail. The upgrade was a mere $3.

I don’t drink so I downgraded my Sparkling High Tea for a regular High Tea and selected a very traditional Earl Grey. Yes I know I’m not very adventurous, but it was the desserts I was looking forward to!
We didn’t have long to wait. I had barely poured my tea before the platter was set down between us. It was filled with all manner of tempting treats. The waitress went through each layer but it was all a blur as I stared at its beauty.

Now, I have a serious question to ask. Where do you start when faced with a platter such as this? Let me explain each tier and then I will tell you where I started.
The High Tea Menu
On the first tier were desserts, there were two pieces of banana cake with cream cheese frosting and one amazing macaroon that tasted like a strong watermelon/raspberry shell with a jam filling. The second macaron was a nougat flavour. There was a frozen tiramisu with a gilded gold almond chocolate easter egg and a white chocolate cheesecake. The platter is garnished with strawberries.

The next layer held two different flavours of hot mini quiches. These were the creamiest most delicious quiche I have had in a long time. I had the spinach and cheese and Anais and the quiche Lorraine. Both were dotted with a cheese sauce. Two different wraps are also on this layer as are two jam pastries with different fillings. The platter is garnished with figs, blackberries, and strawberries.

The final layer is the traditional warm scones and finger sandwiches. We were served two date scones and two plain scones with our own platter of jam and cream.

Ok, so now you know the menu, where would you start? I had to start with cake! The banana cake was the first thing I tried and it was lush! so delicious. My game plan when I am having high tea is to start with my favourite items first. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of stomach space and I fill up too quickly so I don’t even look at the sandwiches!
Next, I tried the quiche and I could not have been happier, that was definitely worth the tummy space. Between the two of us we managed to make short work of most of the tiers. When we couldn’t finish the scones the lovely waitresses brought us a container for them.
Overall we had a lovely experience at Central Coast High Tea Binky. The food, service, and atmosphere were fabulous. Let me know where you have enjoyed High Tea. Would you like to read about my High Tea at Raffles in Singapore?
